I wish to add Anne Seabrook membership no. 492 to the Silves comp on 20 Oct but cannot seem to be able to do it, can you add her name with a buggy for both of us. Thanks.

Just arrived in Algarve from Ireland today and would love to play tomorrow in Silves if any cancellations. Will be available at short notice as long as I have time to get to course from Almancil!!,
This competition was reduced to 16 holes due to fears that all players would not get round in full daylight (although some did play the full 18!). This was due in part to our starting time being delayed by just under 15 minutes and several delays at the difficult par 3's on this course. At one hole there were 3 groups waiting to play! Nevertheless a good time was had by all and there was a lovely convivial atmosphere in the clubhouse afterwards. Top spot went to Keith Browne with a super score of 35. 2nd after a countback was Steve Hurst and 3rd, Ian Humphries who was also nearest the pin.
This was a lovely course with no limitations on buggy use. Nothing too daunting but very interesting. Again, well maintained. Staff were great and helpful. Clubhouse facilities were not as chic as the resort courses, but were perfectly adequate for us. ( coffee pre golf and beer apres golf ) . Can't think of any downside except that en route as we neared the club, signage for the course took us off on to a dirt track for a long stretch which seemed superfluous. We skipped that on our return.
